Dear A.G.N.E.S. Nursery Parents,

The Essex Early Years Team have launched a 'Childcare in Essex - Parents' View Survey. It would be very helpful if you could complete the survey so they can see and plan for any or all areas of Childcare that might need changes due to Covid-19.  The link below will be live until the 24th November.

Dear A.G.N.E.S. Nursery parents,

We would like to inform you that A.G.N.E.S. Day Nursery's doors will not be re-opening until September at the earliest.

This is as a result of the The Bocking United Reformed Church and Eastern Synod's decision to remain closed while a through risk assessment  and all the necessary precautions have been made as suggested by Governmental advice regarding Covid-19 safety protocols.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this will cause to you and your families.  If you do have any questions please send them to our e-mail address or send a text to the Nursery number and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We will continue to keep you updated in terms of the anticipated date the nursery will reopen. Please check our Facebook page and the website periodically for this information.

Please also continue to use the activities we have been adding on the Nursery website to help you with your home learning.  We would love to still see what you have all been up to at home.

Parents survey - we have launched a Childcare in Essex – Parents’ Views survey to seek the views of parents on the childcare they need to access and gain some insight into any possible changes to these needs as a result of Covid-19. The link to the survey is https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/childcare2020/ and is live now until the 24 November 2020. It would be very helpful if you are able to share the link to this survey with your parents so we can gather in as much feedback as possible.

18th May , 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

The government has proposed that Nurseries may re-open from

1st June 2020.

Unfortunately as our setting is located in a place of worship the

United Reform Church have made the decision to keep their

premises shut until all churches/places of worship are able to re-

open.

As a consequence A.G.N.E.S cannot re-open until the church deem it

is safe for their premises to reopen.

We will update you with any changes to this decision as soon as we

are able to.

Please could you replay to this email/message so we know you have

received it.

We look forward to seeing you all again as soon as we can.

Yours sincerely,

A.G.N.E.S Staff and Trustees.

March 24th, 2020

Dear Agnes parents,

It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that as of March 24th we made the decision to close our nursery until further notice.

Our Key worker parents have been contacted and alternative provision has been offered for their childcare needs.

We have made this decision for the health and safety of our staff and children. A number of our staff members have been advised to self isolate due to health conditions that put them at a greater risk due to this virus. Additionally others are the primary carers to vulnerable family members. As a consequence of this guidance we can no longer provide child care services to our key worker parents.

This decision was not taken likely and would like to reassure parents and carers that we continue to put the wellbeing of the children at the forefront.

On the Nursery website we have included a selection of ideas of things to do with your child(ren) at home to continue their learning.  www.agnesdaynursery.org

These suggestions are guidance to help support you. Please note that not all activities will be age appropriate for your child(ren). It is hoped that we will be able to add more ideas in the coming days.

We anticipate to be closed for 12 weeks at a minimum.

We will keep you updated in terms of the closure and anticipated date the nursery will reopen. Please check our Facebook page and the website periodically for this information.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your support and we ask that you please stay safe and follow the government guidance.

Sincerely,

Jane Jansen, Chair of trustees and AGNES staff

COVID-19

March 20th, 2020

Dear AGNES Parents,                                                                                                                                                                                                              We would like to inform you that after digesting the revised guidance the Government has provided to schools and childcare providers as well as the expanded list of who are classed as key workers and vulnerable children, we have made the decision to remain open at present and provide care for these individuals.                                                                                                                                                                                         We will continue with our drop off at the door policy and maintain our regular hours (8:30am – 4pm)                                                                                                                                                                                                We cannot stress enough that if anyone in your household has any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus or are in anyway unwell please keep your child at home and seek medical advice.                                                                                                                                                                            We would also appreciate being made aware of this for our and your child’s records.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Our plan is to reassess this decision just before Easter. However, if changes are made by the Government, we may need to make changes to this decision at short notice.                                                                                                                                                                                                    As you know our Staff have been wonderful this week ensuring that your child has continued to have a loving, caring and especially a safe place to come during these difficult and uncertain times. We also want to thank you all for your patience and support. Stay safe and we will see you soon.
Sincerely, ANGES staff and Trustee committee

17th March, 2020

Dear Parents/Carers

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Following the latest COVID-19 update to the guidance (March 16th) we have made several changes to our procedures for the continued safety of the children and staff.

-We are operating a drop off at the door procedure for parents. This is to limit possible exposures. The children will then be supervised in washing their hands following government guidance.

-We have cancelled the Mother’s Day Week activities. We will try to find another time for you to come in and see your child(ren) at nursery.

-If a member of your family has a temperature of 37.8*C or higher we will not accept the children at nursery as the guidance states they are to be at home in isolation for 14 days with their family. However please inform us of this for our records please.

-If you are pregnant, we will still accept your child(ren) at nursery so long as you are able to find an alternate person for your child’s drop off and pick up. This is for your safety.

-If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the nursery.

Yours Sincerely,

Louise Blake
